pickled eggs

every once  a while eggs will go on sell around here for very cheap. when they do its nice to snatch some up and make a few bottles of pickled eggs.
to do  you will need a few things, a water bath steamer, bottles, boiled eggs, and pickling brine. your pickling brine or juice can consist of any recipe you like but i like mine kind of sweet and spicy
1 cup sugar
4 cups vinegar
3 cups water
1/2 cup spice mix

spice mix
cinnamon sticks
ground nutmeg
mustard seeds
ground turmeric
coriander seeds
whole cloves
whole peppercorns
salt

I keep a jar of this premixed always on hand

some other optional flavorings to add to the bottle:
onion
jalapeno
ginger
garlic

boil your eggs and peel them. sterilize the jars, lids, and rings. mix the pickling brine together in a pan and simmer for five minutes then turn off. alternate layering the optional ingredients and eggs till you have twelve eggs. don't pack them in to tight use more or less eggs for different size bottles. then fill jar most of the way up with juice.  wipe off the rim of the jar put on lid and loosely attach ring process for about ten minutes  at boiling then remove and cool. you can now open one jar and enjoy but there better the longer they set.

R pizza place

let me just sum it up for you eww and nope never buying from them again. dont really like supporting corporations but i will just go to little Caesars for now on when i want pizza. After a grand total of 54 bucks I got burnt wings, hard crust, and flavorless sauce and breadsticks. I have ate there in the past and it was much better it has really gone down hill.

The Greek streak

mmm just the name makes my mouth start watering. there is one reason alone why I and many others go to this restaurant that seems to have seen better days. gyro,s. pronounced yuro this pita bread sandwich is a lamb meat delight. I will not even eat lamb in any other way. as for the restaurant overall well the service sucks most other dishes on the menu are horrible but i keep going for that one delectable gyro. dont bother with the gryo plate the spaghetti is awful, the soup reminds me of a wet dog. but all else is forgiven because of that yummy sauce and perfectly roasted meat in the gyro. if you have ever hit one of the local fairs and had there lamb fry and found you like lamb you have got to try one of these. if you have ever tried lamb and didn't like it then you really need to try one. lets hope this place never closes or some of us might go a little crazy without our gyro fix.
